Tofino Munchie Map
In peak summer season, we tend to play tour guide a lot at the shop. People seem to really trust our judgement on the best places to eat in town - not hard to guess why. So after days of deliberating, we came up with the perfect informational guide for you.
Inspired by our region’s nautical chart, we present to you….
The Ultimate Guide to Snacking in Paradise
Our curated list of munchie destinations.
After weeks of R&D, this is our stoner-approved take on End of the Road cuisine. Without further ado, let us give you a quick run-through on who/what/where/why.
1. Tofino Coffee Roasters #1 & #2
This dual-location joint is one of our go-to coffee spots post-wake-and-bake. While we stay loyal to the Industrial Way location, their Gibsons location is brimming with delicious pastries and coffee paraphernalia.
2. Adriana’s Sandwich Shop
The Italian G.O.A.T. Go get yourself a tasty sandwich made on freshly-baked focaccia and put it in your belly. The daily specials are pretty dope so don’t be afraid to go off-menu.
3. Savary Island Pie Co.
Another noteworthy coffee shop in town - partly for their decadent scones, partly for their next-level view. If you’re from the Big Smoke (ie. Vancouver), you may have frequented their OG West Van location.
4. Toki Doki
Located in the neat Airstream beside Tofino Brew Co, they sling Japanese-style street-food - but no sushi here, folks! Our coworker, Mac, is a big fan of their fried chicken. PSA: don’t knock the okonomiyaki before you try it.
5. Tofino Brew Co
The must-visit spot for a pint. They’ve got good beers, a good atmosphere, and a great staff. Try and catch them on an oyster day if you can.
6. LA Grocery
Because everyone needs to know where to grab late-night snacks. One of the finest selections of convenience-store munchies, AND they’re open until 11pm.
7. Lil Ronnies BBQ & Music
The name says it all. Enjoy live music every night and real, wood-fired BBQ by the beach.
8. Chocolate Tofino
All the homies at the shop love gelato as much as we love gelato strains. Mint Chocolate Flake keeps us feeling fresh, and Kookville keeps us feeling like a kid.
9. Sushi Bar
Best view in town! Be sure to say hi to Crazy Ron for us.
10. Chirpz
One of our regular customers referred to Chirpz as “Big City Chicken”, and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
11. Long Beach Tacofino
Like the normal Tacofino, only better because it’s usually less busy and you can go golfing. Smoke a joint & bike along the MUP if you’re feeling adventurous.
Some on-theme strains to smoke before you munch:
Donnie Burger: This calming GMO x Han-Solo Burger cross is a potent pinene-forward indica, with aromas of gas, garlic, and skunk. Conveniently packaged as an economical ounce.
Georgia Pie: A premium 3.5 G option that smells like Grandma’s fresh peach cobbler. With vibrant orange hairs with trichomes tinted purple & green, it’s probably one of the most beautiful buds we’ve seen in a while.
MacFlurry: Vernon-grown cross of MAC-1 with Peanut Butter Zkittlez. Almost as frosty as the McDonald’s treat itself. Available in 3 x 0.5 G pre-roll packs.
Guava Biscotti Blunts: These sweet & gassy treats are rolled in chamomile blunt papers & available in 3 x 0.5 G pre-roll packs.
Fruity Pebbles OG: Named after the iconic Flintstones cereal, this strain smells just like you’d expect it to; sweet, fruity, and lemony. It’s one of our staff’s favourites so we have it in both 3.5 G flower and 2 x 0.5 G pre-roll packs.
